THE LITTLE PARK | Andrew Washton

"Hello from Maine. Welcome to this special website, www.hymandobsowitz.com. My wife Debby and I want to thank everyone who read our Uncle Hyman’s obituary in The New York Times and wrote or emailed us, and sent such kind and thoughtful messages. We didn’t know what to expect. We had no idea how many of you, our Uncle Hyman’s former pupils and friends, read The New York Times, and read the obituary page when you read The New York Times. After all, his death was not reported on the front page, although my wife and I, and perhaps some of you, feel that it should have been! They didn’t write a small article about him, with a little photograph appended. Well, we found out! Very many of you! We also want to thank those of you who responded to the copy of the death notice we mailed to you, those of you whose names and addresses we found in his address book, those of you who with whom he was still in touch, sometimes after many years..."
New York antiquarian bookseller Andrew Washton's first published novella is a delightful tale of the extraordinary life of an ordinary man and the people around him.
