Explanation of the black T-shirt he's wearing: This is a T-shirt promoting nearby Nederland, Colorado's annual winter event, Frozen Dead Guy Days. At first he wasn't going to wear it until he noticed cryogenically-frozen grandpa in the picture and remarked, "Well, that's okay, I'm a grandpa too," so he wore it through the reading.
