I first discovered Perle's writing in the pages of MANOA: A PACIFIC JOURNAL OF INTERNATIONAL WRITING. It was modest but so insightful and sensitive. She writes with the wisdom of the spirit.

The insights disturb and yet liberate, the prose has a mordant brilliance, an unbrittle solidity and a wicked sophistication which yet enchants and moves.

I have read much of Perle's fiction and non-fiction production and I am sure that her exploration of such a controversial (and passionate) topic will be powerful and inspiring. This is a collection not to be missed.
